For one, it looks like Trish will encourage her adoptive sister to find out what happened in her past, suggesting the season will explore just how Jessica got her powers and what exactly the mysterious IGH organization introduced in season 1 is.

As exciting as it is to know Tennant's creepy villain is back for more this time round - and it makes sense, given the huge, frightful role Kilgrave played in her life, that Jessica doesn't just immediately think she's done internally dealing with Kilgrave after snapping his neck - hopefully it's a return that facilitates more introspection and dives into Jessica's character. She also seems to be struggling with (SPOILER ALERT!) killing Kilgrave at the end of the first season.

The return helps flesh out Netflix's Marvel catalog, which still includes a number of single-season shows (although they nearly all have commitments for more episodes).

Fans did get a chance to see Krysten Ritter reprise her role as the super sleuth who is an unwilling hero in Marvel's The Defenders in August that showed how the character was handling her newfound fame after the events of the first season.

I think Jessica is in a pretty dark headspace when we meet her at the top of season 2. But a new case forces Jessica to dig deeper into her own past, something she's not entirely psyched to do. Other Netflix shows now in development are Daredevil season 3, Luke Cage season 2, and Iron Fist season 2. Actress Krysten Ritter also shared harrowing details about the character's anguishing Season 2 dilemma in a separate interview. What we've done again is kept the story very personal. But even if we recently watched her fight alongside Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Iron Fist, we still want more of our favorite private investigator. The wait is nearly over and March will be here before we know it.

It's been a long wait for fans of "Jessica Jones" to return - the first season, which won a Peabody Award, streamed back in November 2015.
