We also expect to see a headphone jack and a dedicated Google Assistant button on the left side of the handset (hence the ThinQ branding). Based on the reports, the LG G7 ThinQ will sport sport a widescreen display with increased brightness levels. Where this display stands out is in the brightness department. As expected, they are similar to the scores of other Snapdragon 845-powered devices like Galaxy S9, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, etc.

Building on the well-received LG G6's display-to-body ratio, the LG G7 ThinQ will be easy and comfortable to operate and hold in one hand, especially with the ergonomic and handsome curved tempered glass. For example, the bottom bezel is 50% slimmer than on the G6. There are Auto, Eco, Cinema, Sports, Game, and Experts modes, with Expert offering the most control.

However, if you were expecting some unique features from LG's end to differentiate the G7 from its counterparts, we've got some more disappointing news for you today.

Meanwhile, the bottom bezel on the device is almost 50 percent slimmer than the LG G6.

LG claims this makes for "the brightest and most vibrant display on the smartphone market today", though recent Samsung phones like the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9 have been found to have more than 1,000 nits.

In a blog post by LG, we've seen the company announce the display specifications of the upcoming LG G7 ThinQ.

LG's press release states that the G7 ThinQ's QHD+ (3120 x 1440 resolution) display will be 30% more efficient than the G6's, is capable of reproducing 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, and will have a slightly smaller bezel below the screen when compared to previous models. While we can say for sure that it is the LG G7, the scores aren't what you'd expect from a device with that much responsibility on its shoulders.

LG has added a second screen which can be used as a status bar to browse notifications. The LG G7 ThinQ is set to debut May 2 and faces quite the challenge in making a name for itself this late into the year.
