Affordable Realme 1 phone launched on Amazon with 6GB of RAM

The first smartphone under the series is Realme 1 which goes on sale on May 25. The phone will be available exclusively from Amazon starting at Rs. 8990. And since the M1 is Rs. 2000 cheaper than the Redmi Note 5 Pro and offers Android Oreo, it makes sense to just go for the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1. Realme 1, our first offering, is focused at the young online consumers and is primed to be a market disruptor with the most stylish design, stunning specs along with superb quality and the most satisfying service in the mid-price range.

The Oppo Realme 1 has a 6-inch FHD+ display, offering a resolution of 1080 x 2160, at an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 403ppi. With a screen boy ratio of nearly 85% and bezels less than 1.98 mm, the immersive screen of Realme 1 will not only provide clearer and more colorful images but will give a better experience when watching videos and playing games. It has a unique design theme and comes with a diamond-shaped pattern on the back.

The company is selling the device with something called a diamond back which they claim is a strong departure from the bland design language that is prevalent with the competition. The color options are Diamond Black and Solar Red. The Realme 1, on the other hand, has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front facing camera. The Redmi Note 5, on the other hand, has a 12MP primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP secondary camera with beautify 3.0 software.

The Oppo Realme 1's design is similar to the Oppo F7, which was launched in March. The new mid-range smartphone sports a FullView display and runs the latest version of Android Oreo.

The Oppo Realme 1 is powered by a 3,410mAh battery.

In terms of connectivity options, the company is touting the presence of dual 4G VoLTE support on the Realme 1. While the rest of the specifications look great for a phone in this category, the Realme 1 misses out on a fingerprint sensor.
