It will be interesting to see what's new with Rage 2 aside from its apparently lighter tone.

Recognising the strengths and weaknesses of a game is essential in making a decent sequel, and Avalanche Studios appear to have done a stellar job at sizing up Rage.

The game's now pegged for a 2019 release, but we'll be apparently be seeing much more of it at E3 2018 during Bethesda's press conference.

When Rage released in 2011, it was both a tremendously ambitious shooter and a technical showcase.

A new trailer for the game was just released, as well, which contain gameplay footage and a brief look into the world of the game.

The Rage 2 gameplay reveal begins at 3pm BST (7:30pm IST) on May 15.

Needless to say, this also indicates most of that Walmart Canada leak was real-even if whoever did it goofed and wrote "Forza Horizons 5".

Since then more teasers have been tweeted out, with many having a distinct post-apocalyptic flavour to it.

Bethesda responded in hilarious fashion to the latest leak, with the Rage Twitter account posting the tweet below.

The landing page for the game gives very little extra information.it does show key art for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so it's likely that Switch owners will be left out at launch.

Unlike other recent Bethesda revivals of iD Software shooters, such as Doom and Wolfenstein, a Nintendo Switch version has not been announced.
