"Honestly, I have to say we were a little bit surprised when we won 5-0 against FC Porto, because they're a top team - it was impressive, I was impressed myself, to be honest", Klopp told UEFA.

The Champions League final, which sees English side Liverpool take on European giants Real Madrid in Kyiv will be shown on Saturday 26 May.

"(It would be) a unique moment (to win the final). And that's what we do whenever possible, ' Klopp added.

Klopp's men had silenced the rest of the footballing community and the sneers of rival fans claiming Liverpool had no business among Europe's elite were suddenly asking: "surely they can't get to Kiev..." It's going to be a tough game - we know they have so much quality. It will be a great final.

The Liverpool star must be delighted with Henry's glowing assessment of his performances, however, he will understand that his team will need a huge performance from him come the Champions League final night in Kiev if they are to leave the ground triumphant.

"That's really [crazy], because we aren't Barcelona, we aren't Real Madrid or Bayern Munich".

Liverpool held a training camp in Marbella in February when they had a free weekend as a result of being knocked out of the FA Cup in the fourth round.
