Janoris Jenkins still pushing for Dez Bryant to Giants

NFL Draft Dallas Cowboys Select 1

Though the Packers drafted three wide receivers in this year's NFL Draft, they lack established options after releasing Jordy Nelson, who signed with the Oakland Raiders.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant (88) yells to another player during warmups before an National Football League game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at FedEx Field in Hyattsville, Maryland.

While the receiver room is crowded in Green Bay, Bryant would give the Packers a veteran playmaker to start opposite Davante Adams, and his skill set - which includes using physicality to make contested catches and create yards after the catch - could still be valuable to a team with Aaron Rodgers under center. That was before the Packers drafted three receivers in the draft two weeks ago, though. Brown in the sixth may have put to bed any likelihood that the Packers pursue Bryant. Bryant isn't the man-handler of cornerbacks he used to be and he was never a speed receiver to begin with, but he's still a big, physical receiver who wins at the catch point and will run hard after the catch. Bryant will likely have to keep looking for a new team as opportunities continue to dwindle throughout the offseason.

When Jason Witten predicted his former teammate would end up in Green Bay catching passes from the two-time MVP, defensive coordinators in the NFC must have had their hearts stop for a brief moment.
