Justify doesn't have much competition in Saturday's race, with Kentucky Derby second-place finisher Good Magic being his top threat.

Baffert is seeking a record-tying seventh Preakness victory, having previously won with Triple Crown victor American Pharoah (2015), Lookin At Lucky (2010), War Emblem (2002), Point Given (2001), Real Quiet (1998), and Silver Charm (1997).

Curlin, who won the 2007 Preakness, kept alive a remarkable streak when Good Magic finished second in the Kentucky Derby, as he has now produced a classic victor or classic-placed runner from each of his first six crops to race. Jerry Izenberg of NJ.com wonders if the horse and trainer Chad Brown have a shot to spring the upset at the Preakness. Bravazo finished 8 lengths behind, with Lone Sailor 9 1/4 lengths out.

Unlike Justify, Good Magic and two other Kentucky Derby horses in the Preakness field, Quip was held for the Preakness.
