The announcement was integrated into the studio review and there it included a link that leads to what will be, at some point, the official site of Stalker 2. Besides the number and moniker, nothing else has been announced yet.

GSC Game World has announced that it's having another stab at STALKER 2, the sequel to its much-loved 2007 post-apocalyptic hit.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is uncompromising Ukrainian FPS survival horror series set under the shadow of the Chernobyl incident.

There's bugger all info available at the moment, but fans of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. can rejoice: you're getting a sequel.

There's not an very bad lot to go on right now, although that probably isn't a surprise considering STALKER 2 is apparently targeting a 2021 launch window.

As for the game engine, nothing has surfaced yet. Today something a little more interesting happened: GSC Game World, the creator of the original Stalker trilogy, quietly announced that Stalker 2 is now in development.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was then cancelled, and GSC scattered to the radiation-poisoned winds. The project is now underway at GSC Game World.
