Scott Arfield has officially been paraded as a Rangers player, and the midfielder has revealed he turned down interest to stay in England in order to join Steven Gerrard's revolution in Govan.

The player was in Glasgow on Monday morning to complete a medical with the Scottish giants and according to Sky Sports News, a four-year contract has already been agreed.

The 29-year-old will be the first of potentially many names signing up to the club, with investment and expectation in high demand at the Ibrox club.

While the Gers have been able to find the net easily, the same can be said about teams who have played against them with the 5-5 draw at Hibernian on Sunday proving that it should be a top priority for the club in the coming months.

"We go up to Glasgow and we will give it our best".

Arfield signed the day after Rangers followed Burnley into the Europa League and the Canada worldwide senses the teams are destined to meet.

'There is much more to be done, ofcourse, as we look to build towards our Europa League campaign which will start inearly July.

He said: "I am delighted to have added Scott Arfield to the squad for next season".

In recent seasons, Celtic have attracted some quality footballers, such as Scott Sinclair, but the arrival of Gerrard at Rangers could change the game and maybe level the playing field.

And after a three-year spell with the Terriers, the midfielder made a decision to join Burnley in 2013, where he played three seasons in the Premier League.
