Rapper TI says guard was asleep on the job, sparking argument that got him arrested

Rapper T.I. was arrested earlier Wednesday morning in Stock Bridge, Georgia, outside of his residence's gated community.

The Atlanta rapper had been on the straight and narrow since being released from prison. The Henry Country Police Department estimate the time of his arrest at 4 A.M. and apparently it all boils down to T.I. not having the keys to his own kingdom.

However, the website said the rapper was eventually allowed into his gated community after an initial argument with the guard. T.I. reportedly asked the guard.

We're also told T.I. did NOT make physical contact with the security guard, but the guard feared he would be hit during the dispute. He was taken downtown, where he spent about an hour and a half behind bars before posting a $2,250 bond, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

"Tip was wrongfully arrested early this morning when he attempted to gain entrance into his gated community - where his wife Tiny' and his family reside. Tip clearly identified himself and sought entry", his attorney Steve Sadow wrote on Facebook.

Still, he claims the security guard, who was African-American, "antagonized" him and had "every opportunity" to apologize for sleeping, but the guy refused. In fact, T.I. says the guard even refused to provide his name, so he is planning to sue for the incident. He says the guard continued to refuse entry "without justification" before words were exchanged and police were called. He says when he called out the guard for sleeping on the job, a "very heated debate" ensued between the two, which prompted the guard to phone officials. "When the police arrived, they were not interested in hearing Tip's side of the story and wrongfully chose to end the situation by arresting Tip".
