The announcement comes just shortly after the Internet giant announced that Prime members would save 10 percent off Whole Foods sale items. The perks program includes an extra 10% off sale items and rotating deals for members of Amazon's $119-a-year Prime membership.

The delivery service applies to orders of $35 or more.

Prime member savings and Prime Now grocery delivery are available in Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego and San Francisco.
