Panthers preseason Q&A with Bills Wire for Week 1 matchup

On the other side of the ball, Cam Newton made it his business to confront his former receiver, Kelvin Benjamin. Benjamin didn't want to talk to Newton and he didn't want to talk to reporters about Newton, saying: "I mean, I'm just moving on from it I guess". Benjamin answered questions about the exchange by saying he was "moving on", although when asked what Newton said to him, Benjamin responded, "I don't know".

Benjamin, a first-round pick of the Carolina Panthers in the 2014 NFL Draft, recently took shots at his former team in an interview with The Athletic.

Benjamin was traded last season to Buffalo after his production declined in the aftermath of an ACL injury. Nothing to see here, just a few position battles.

Initially, Newton's only response, posted in a video to social media, was to say that he wasn't "gonna go back and forth with him" but continue to "work". Newton followed, trying to catch up, before seeming to give up.

Newton later waved off Benjamin in apparent frustration before the two parted ways for the remainder of warmups.

Prior to Thursday night's preseason game between Newton's Carolina Panthers and Benjamin's Buffalo Bills, Cam went over to speak with Benjamin.
