"As translucent colors are always a fan-favorite, this is a great opportunity to bring this color to the PlayStation 4 Pro system as a "thank you" to our fans", Lempel said.

The 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro comes with a gorgeous new design, featuring a translucent dark blue console shell. It will be $499.99 USD/$639.99 CAD/€499. A 500 Million Limited Edition Gold Wireless Headset featuring the same dark blue transluscent design with copper detailing will also be released for $99.99 United States dollars / $119.99 CAD / €89.99 / 12,000 yen. The console will be on sale from August 24 and will cost $500. Sony tells gamers to be on the lookout for certain special serial numbers, which include 09995, the USA launch date of the original PlayStation, and 01115, the U.S. launch date for the PS4. The 500 Million Limited Edition Gold Wireless Headset will appear in North America in early September 2018 and in Europe on October 11, 2018. Note that quantities will be extremely limited. This time the occasion is not a shameless attempt to sell a console on the back of a new blockbuster game but rather to celebrate something much more interesting. The second is an unboxing video that gets up close and personal with the hardware itself.
