Harvey Weinstein Accuser Releases Video of Creepy Business Meeting Before Alleged Rape

One of Harvey Weinstein's accusers has released video of an encounter showing his inappropriate behavior before he allegedly raped her.

Apparently, Thompson had visited The Weinstein Company offices in NY to make a business pitch for her company's services and had recorded their meeting as part of the demo. She ended up in Weinstein's hotel room, where Weinstein raped her despite her attempts to get away, Thompson alleged.

Weinstein has denied any wrongdoing, and his lawyer told Sky the video had been edited to obscure "casual - if not awkward - flirting from both parties". But she says when she met Weinstein around 10 pm, he asked her to follow him and led her straight up to his private room. In addition to telling Thompson that he wants "a part of her" Weinstein is apparently out of the camera's view running his hands up her legs as she objects "that's a little high, a little high". She says it was standard protocol for her to record meetings, and the video for this one is unsettling.

Shortly after doing so, he rejected her handshake offer and hugged Thompson instead, rubbing her back and saying: "That's nice". "That's a little high". "That's too high." However, the media mogul remained undeterred and kept stroking her arm, even claiming at one point that, "data is so hot, right". The next hearing in the case is scheduled for 20 September.

At the end of the meeting, they arranged to meet in the lobby of the Tribeca Grand Hotel.

Thompson told Sky News Weinstein was "playing a cat-and-mouse game from the very beginning to see how far he could push me, and what my reactions might be so that he could gauge how he would play with (me), where my levers were, what were my vulnerabilities".

"It wasn't an invitation to go to his hotel room". They include: film actress Rose McGowan, who said Weinstein raped her in 1997 in Utah; "Sopranos" actress Annabella Sciorra, who said he raped her in her NY apartment in 1992; and the Norwegian actress Natassia Malthe, who said he attacked her in a London hotel room in 2008.

Thompson told Sky News: "Now I see he's trying, in any way he can, to move me into that zone of comfortable then uncomfortable and confused, and vulnerable, and recognizing that he's powerful and I'm not, and that I need this deal from him, and he has the power to give it to me". Thompson says, cordially shoving Weinstein.

"If he would make a comment, I would try to catch it and return it in a way that felt a little safer than the way he threw it at me".

Thompson was part of a class action lawsuit against Weinstein filed in June in which she claimed the producer began to harass and fondle her, several U.S. media outlets reported. Thompson is a major player in the class action lawsuit against the fallen producer. "This is a further attempt to publicly disgrace Mr Weinstein for financial gain and we will not stand for it. Facts do matter". "I thought I could handle it".

"Any suggestion of sexual misconduct is false".
